See what Community Leaders in Metrowest have to say about MWJDS!

The MetroWest Jewish Day School has made an enormous impact on Jewish life in our area. It has energized Jewish identity, created a new community for young Jewish families, and, most importantly, provided terrific Jewish education for our children. Anyone who cares about high quality education, Hebrew, Israel, “Jewish skills”, and the next generation must take note! (I wish I had another child young enough to attend!) As the Mishnah says, “What is like learning as a child? Answer: Ink inscribed on new paper! ~ Rabbi Donald Splansky, Rabbi Emeritus, Temple Beth Am, Framingham

I have visited the school a number of times. There is a level of individual attention you simply can’t get anywhere else. After only the first year, the school has already become a center of learning with something to offer adults, children and families. A day school can become another Jewish Community Center. People connect through their children and then as adults. And people become more invested in the community through the school. ~ Rabbi Daniel Liben, Temple Israel of Natick

Our synagogue has been greatly enriched by what our MWJDS students have learned and contributed to our community. Many of the students have read Torah or led services to the delight of our congregants.  As their rabbi, I am very proud. ~ Rabbi Laurence Bazer, Temple Beth Sholom, Framingham

At a time of great hope for a Jewish renaissance when our community stands at the edge of great progress we must take advantage of every opportunity to reach every Jewish child and family. In these times, the creation of a new center of educational excellence, in the middle of a rapidly expanding Jewish population is cause for celebration. The MWJDS has already established a national reputation for educational excellence under the leadership of  Founding Head of School Carolyn Keller one of America’s premier Jewish educators and educational innovators. The future of our community depends on the Jewish vibrancy of the Metrowest area—our fastest growing region filled with rapidly growing communities and congregations. We are fortunate to have the MWJDS educating our children and building our future. ~ Barry Shrage, President, Combined Jewish Philanthropies

When we decided to move from Brookline, we did so with more than a bit of trepidation. Mostly we were concerned about losing such a vibrant, broad-based Jewish community, and its varied day school options.  The promise of MWJDS was one of the most important factors allaying our concerns. That promise has turned into a reality, and we now know that we couldn’t have made a better decision. MWJDS has exceeded our expectations. The school has tremendous positive energy and is filled with terrific people – talented and devoted teachers and administrators, and wonderful children and families. But the best thing of all is that our son loves kindergarten. He comes home talking about patterns and letters, singing new songs, chanting prayers, and talking in Hebrew. On the weekend, he looks forward to Monday when he will return to school. He has already made good friends and so have we. ~ Hazzan Dr. Scott Sokol and Dr. Francene Sokol

We are very proud to support the MWJDS. The school provides a special element in the building of a Metrowest Jewish community. And it does so with extraordinary excellence. The students and their parents benefit, but the greater community does so in equal measure. We are particularly pleased that Jewish Family Service of Metrowest has been an early partner in this endeavor. ~ Alan and Judith Bernstein, Past Presidents, Jewish Family Service of Metrowest
