Inspiring us to do more
Our Atid class had an opportunity to meet with Barry Shrage, President of CJP. We are always inspired to meet people who have dedicated their lives to helping others. We understand that the important work that CJP does not only helps those less fortunate, but helps people to participate in Jewish activities such as our own MWJDS!

Steven Finn, a principal scientist at MIT, along with fellow rocket scientists Mel Weinzimer and Ron Todd helped our students push the limits as they learned the fundamentals of Newtonian Mechanics.
Harvey Leonard brings Meteorology to MWJDS
What do the 1978 blizzard, hailstorms in Arizona, eyes of hurricanes, and tornadoes in Massachusetts all have in common? Ask our 5th graders. Harvey Leonard, the meteorologist for Channel 5, gave a riveting presentation on the causes of weather and why certain weather patterns occur. Students acted out the movement of the sun and the earth, watched footage on hurricanes and tornadoes, and heard tales about some of the biggest storms in history.
