Barry Shrage
2016 Keter Shem Tov Award Recipient
Barry Shrage has served as president of Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP), Boston’s Jewish Federation, since 1987. In his time at CJP, the foundation has focused on three priorities: Jewish education, building connections between Boston and Israel, and creating a caring community. Under Barry’s leadership, CJP has achieved remarkable feats in each area of focus. His tireless advocacy of the importance of Jewish education has spawned numerous adult education projects, as well as vital day school initiatives. Barry has been an advocate for MWJDS, personally and professionally, since before the school’s inception and we are grateful for this opportunity to celebrate his contributions to our school and the Greater Boston community.
