Enrollment/Application Process
The following explains our application process:
Application
Thank you for your interest in MWJDS. Please complete, sign, and submit an application with a non-refundable $180.00 application fee. Please include a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a recent photo of your child. We ask that you sign the enclosed Release Form on the last page of the application permitting us to contact your child’s current teacher. MWJDS will send a Student Evaluation form to the contact indicated on the Release Form. Please note that the application fee will not be applied to tuition. Please refer to our Guide to the Admissions Process and Admissions Checklist for important information about the application process.
Screening
After we receive the application, we will arrange a time to meet with you and your child. A member of our school faculty will help us assess your child’s skill level. Screenings for all applicants will be held in February and will take approximately 30 minutes. The information gathered during the screening and the records received from each student’s current school will help us assure that your child will have a positive experience at MWJDS. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required after the successful screening which will be applied toward your child’s tuition.
Tuition
Tuition for the 2009-2010 academic year is:
- Kindergarten Aleph (4.6 - 5 yrs. old): $9,000
- Kindergarten: $14,805
- Grades 1 through 4: $15,855
- Grades 5 and 6: $16,170
Through an independent process provided by the National Association of Independent Schools, our Tuition Assistance Committee will work to offer assistance to families for whom tuition costs are not realistically affordable. Tuition assistance applications are due in January 2010. Notification of tuition assistance will be in April 2010.
The deadline for applications is January 29, 2010. Applications received after this date will be considered if space allows. Priority will be given to siblings.
