There are several parts to the admissions process. After an initial interview, you will receive a packet with an application and information about MWJDS.
A decision will be made about enrollment after we receive all the required forms and your child completes the screening process.
The MWJDS Application for Admissions must be completed, signed and submitted with a non-refundable $54.00 application fee. Please note that the $54 non-refundable application fee covers our admissions process and screening costs and is not applied to tuition. You may send in a check or pay via PayPal:
Please include a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a recent photo of your child with your application. Also, please sign the Authorization for Release of School Information section which permits us to receive student records and information from their current school.
After we receive the application and fee, your child will meet with members of our faculty who will help us assess your child’s skill level. Screenings will take approximately 30 minutes and are usually conducted at MWJDS. In some cases, a member of our faculty may observe your child at his or her current school.
As a community school, MWJDS is committed to serving students with a broad range of learning styles. Information gathered during the screening, and the records received from each student’s current school, will help us assure that your child will have a positive experience at MWJDS.
Tuition for the 2015-2016 school year is as follows:
- Kindergarten Aleph Preschool Half Day (8:30am – 11:30am): $5,400
- Kindergarten Aleph Preschool Full Day (8:30am – 3:15pm): $10,000
- Kindergarten: $17,9900
- Grades 1 – 5: $20,300
- Grades 6 – 8: $21,000
The Tuition Assistance Committee makes every effort to support all families who apply for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance applications must be submitted by February 13, 2015 with a copy of your completed 2013 and 2014 federal income tax forms. Tuition assistance decisions will be made in the order in which they are received. After April 1, 2015, funds will be limited.
If you have a child entering Jewish day school for the first time, you may be eligible for Combined Jewish Philanthropies Discover Day School Checks of up to $6,000 per year for three years. For more information, visit http://discoverdayschool.org/.

Signed enrollment contracts are due by April 1, 2015, with a $500 non-refundable deposit which will be applied toward your child’s tuition.
