MWJDS has immediate openings for the following positions:

Music Educator

Small private school seeking dynamic music educator to help move our music program forward. Ideal candidate should have a degree in music or related field, experience working with children and a desire to make a difference. Knowledge of multiple genres and general music history and theory are important. Song leading is important but not essential. Familiarity with Jewish music preferred but not required. Proficiency on keyboard and/or guitar is desirable. Ability to teach instruments is also preferred.  Music is an expression of creativity and it is through this expression that we learn so much about ourselves, our past and our future. We are an institution that understands how important music and the arts can be and the successful candidate will be welcomed with a very supportive education and administrative team. We have a burgeoning program including a digital music studio should the successful candidate wish to incorporate composition or record performances with our students. Our students are enthusiastic and our community is warm. This is a great part time opportunity that has room for growth.  Position entails between 4-8 hours per week with approximately 2.5 hours associated with class time. Substitute Teachers

Positions available for individuals with experience in early elementary education with strengths in literacy and math. Comfort in Judaics required; able to serve as a role model in our diverse community. Must be flexible, fun, and a team player. Additionally, candidates must be focused on childrens’ ranges of learning styles and committed to education as a profession.

Substitute teacher positions are available on an as-needed basis. Applicants need experience working with early elementary age children. Knowledge of Hebrew and Jewish customs a plus. Please call our office at 508-620-5554 or email your resume to info@mwjds.org.
